2005 Challenge Winners
Week 1- ending July 8, 2005:
Dennis and Christine Dinger win first prize in the pounds per hour category with 13.7 pounds per hour/per person. They picked 48 Pounds in 105 minutes. Second and third place went to Bill Hill and Tracy Towel. The 48 Pounds also brought the Dinger's first place in the volume category, In second place was Candy, Norm , Arlyn and Tammy Jimison with 46 pounds. Bill Hill and Tracy and Amy Towel were tied for third place in the volume category.
Week 2 - ending July 15, 2005:
Tied for first place were Connie Lee and Bill Hill with 9.777 pounds per hour. In second place was the A. C. Roger family with 8.325 pounds per hour. In third place was the Dinger team with 7.999 pounds per hour. In the Volume category the Burgess Team from Asheville won first prize with 68.75 pounds. In Second Place were the Dinger's again with 48 lb. And in third place was the A. C. Rogers Family with 43 pounds.
Week 3 - ending July 22, 2005:
In the Pounds per hour category: Pauline Blackburn of Seneca won first prize
picking 13.2 pounds per hour. Second Place went to Howard L Hire of Salem with 12.8 pounds per hour per
person. In third place was the team of Bob and Eva Williamson of Clemson with 8.
14 pounds per hour. In the Total Volume Picked Category:
The Dinger team, Dennis Christine and Angel won with 62 pounds of
blueberries and will get 25 pounds of free you-pick berries.
Howard L. Hire came in second and will get 15 pounds of free you-pick
blueberries. Bob and Eva Williamson were third and will get 6 pounds of free you-pick
blueberries.

Week 4 - Grand Prize Winners:
It is Official! The Happy Berry World Champion blueberry pickers are Christine and Dennis Dinger at 13.7 pounds per hour per person. Ann Watson, one of our commercial pickers, was runner up at 13.5 pounds per hour and Colleen Blackburn from Seneca was third at 13.2 pounds per hour. The Burgess family, Beaver Donna, Sue and Beau were first place in the volume picked in a single day category with 68.75 pounds.
